About Us
Indian Institute of Technology Dharwad (IIT Dharwad) is an Institute of National Importance established in 2016 by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Mentored initially by IIT Bombay, the institute has grown rapidly and now operates from its permanent 470-acre campus. The campus design is based on the theme of 'Sustainable Green Campus' and has been awarded a 5-star GRIHA rating.\n\nIIT Dharwad focuses on bringing joy into the learning process through a mix of rigorous coursework and hands-on projects. It offers a unique interdisciplinary approach with programs like BS-MS in Interdisciplinary Sciences alongside traditional engineering disciplines.
