About Us
Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur (IIEST, Shibpur), formerly Bengal Engineering College, has a rich history dating back to 1856. It is the second oldest engineering college in India. Upgraded to an Institute of National Importance in 2014, it offers education in Engineering, Architecture, Science, and Humanities. The institute is located in Howrah, West Bengal, near the famous Botanic Garden.
