About Us
National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC), originally established in 1961 as Regional Engineering College (REC) Calicut, was transformed into an NIT in 2002. It is an academically autonomous institute of national importance, fully funded by the Government of India. The campus stretches over 120 hectares in the foothills of the Western Ghats.
