About Us
Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) was established in 1999 by an Act of the J&K State Legislature. It is recognized by the UGC and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities. The university is situated on a 470-acre campus in the scenic Trikuta Hills.
