Honorarium to community health workers
ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activist) is a volunteer health activist in the community for creating awareness on health and its social determinants. She mobilizes the community towards local health planning and assists in increased utilization and accountability of the existing health services.
ASHAs render more than 50 different services under various health programmes to people in rural / urban areas. For each service they receive an entitlement per beneficiary served.
